Israel has every right to monitor what is coming in on those ships. In fact they would be crazy not to do so. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduct that some of the activists (see radicals) on board became aggressive. members of the boarding (policing) party were attacked and even disarmed. Under any circumstances and involving any group or groups this is asking for the use of deadly force, and justifiably so. A 60 year old can kill you just as dead as a 25 year old. I see no room for any argument other than a necessary and justified use of deadly force. Any court in this country would see it that way too. Just check the records for police deadly force cases.
Israel has as much or more of a historical claim to that land as anybody.

What aid is coming in from elsewhere and these ships in particular is equal to 1/4 of the aid that Israel takes in DAILY!!!! Israel isn't blocking any aid from coming in but they do have a procedure in place to make sure what is coming in is only aid in the form of food, water, clothing etc. and to make sure no weapons or anything else of the sort comes in that can be used against them.
